Oscar Jeffreys

Picture
Oscar is a Senior who has been the superstar in football, basketball and track.  Currently he is the student council president and is completing his Eagle Scout project.  His hobbies include cooking and working on his car.  At six foot seven he is heavily scouted by multiple division I teams.

Oscar is very direct and always in control.

Below is Oscar's recipe of the month.  Warning Oscar cooks from the heart so his recipes can be "some of this and you'll know when you have enough."

Oscar's gearing up for summer camp.  Since he runs Webelo's outpost at Akela he'll share how to make  hobo packs.

Hobo Packs

Choose your meat.  The easiest to do is get frozen preformed hamburger patties so that's the recipe I'm going with.
Bag of Frozen diced or sliced potatoes
Bag of Frozen cut carrots
Bag of Frozen diced onions
Salt
Pepper
Non-stick spray
Aluminum foil
2 tbsp water

Rip off aluminum foil pieces a little bigger than the size of a piece of paper.  Spray one side of the foil.  Place a 1/4 cup of onions, 1/2 cup carrots, 3/4 cup potatoes and break up two to three hamburger patties and place on foil.  Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Put 2 tbsp water in center.  Fold aluminum foil to seal in food.  Add a second piece of foil to seal whole packet.

Place on edge of campfire or warmed coals.  Turn after about 20 minutes.  Let cook total of about 40 minutes until meat is cooked
